These beta versions have introduced new features, system improvements and bug fixes. The latest update comes in the form of iOS 18 Developer Beta 4 which Apple released on Tuesday. It brings tweaks to the overall user interface (UI), adds more customisation options when the iPhone is connected to CarPlay and expands support for RCS messaging.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"ios-18-developer-beta-4-features\">iOS 18 Developer Beta 4 Features<\/h2>\n<p>Apple&#8217;s <a class=\"sp_lnk2\" href=\"https:\/\/developer.apple.com\/documentation\/ios-ipados-release-notes\/ios-ipados-18-release-notes\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">changelog<\/a> for the iOS 18 Developer Beta 4 update reveals that the latest update adds eight new Light and Dark Mode wallpapers for CarPlay. Furthermore, a <strong><em>Controls Menu<\/em><\/strong> setting is now visible under the Preserve Settings banner. As per <a class=\"sp_lnk2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gadgets360.com\/apple\">Apple<\/a>, this feature \u201cpreserves the previously used camera tool\u201d, instead of bringing up the list of tools.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"mt-enclosure mt-enclosure-image\" style=\"display: inline;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"ins_instory_dv_caption\">iOS 18 Developer Beta 4 Update for iPhone<\/p>\n<p>Apple has also rolled out the flashlight UI, which it introduced with its previous update on the <a class=\"sp_lnk2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gadgets360.com\/apple-iphone-15-pro-price-in-india-115761\">iPhone 15 Pro<\/a> models, to the <a class=\"sp_lnk2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gadgets360.com\/apple-iphone-15-price-in-india-115759\">iPhone 15<\/a> and <a class=\"sp_lnk2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gadgets360.com\/apple-iphone-15-plus-price-in-india-115760\">iPhone 15 Plus<\/a>. Meanwhile, users who are subscribed to iCloud will now see a new animation in the iCloud menu under the iPhone settings.<\/p>\n<p>Design tweaks have also been brought to the <strong><em>Hidden<\/em><\/strong> apps folder, the Stocks app icon, and the <strong><em>Continue<\/em><\/strong> option in the Books app. Apple says users can now toggle the Light Mode while still retaining the <a class=\"sp_lnk2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gadgets360.com\/mobiles\/news\/ios-18-dark-mode-iphone-app-lock-wwdc-2024-apple-report-5857249\">Dark Mode<\/a> appearance of the home screen icons. Following the update, <a class=\"sp_lnk2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gadgets360.com\/tags\/rcs\">RCS<\/a> on <a class=\"sp_lnk2\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gadgets360.com\/tags\/iphone\">iPhone<\/a> is now supported by Fido and Rogers in Canada, Orange, Vodafone and Yoigo in Spain, and Orange and T-Mobile in the UK.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"other-apple-updates\">Apple&#8217;s Latest Beta Updates<\/h2>\n<p>In addition to iOS 18 Developer Beta 4, Apple also seeded the fourth developer betas of iPadOS 18, macOS 15 Sequoia, visionOS 2, tvOS 18, and watchOS 11.
