Delhi police<\/a> arrested a man dressed as ‘Spider Man<\/a>‘ for violating traffic rules<\/a>. The incident occurred on Dwarka<\/a> Road, where the individual was seen sitting on the bonnet of a car.The arrest followed a complaint received via social media regarding the car. The man in the Spider Man costume has been identified as 20-year-old Aditya from Najafgarh. The vehicle’s driver, 19-year-old Gaurav Singh from Mahavir Enclave, has also been charged.<\/p>\n

Both Aditya and Singh face charges for dangerous driving, operating a vehicle without a pollution certificate, and not wearing a seatbelt. The penalties for these violations could amount to a maximum fine of Rs. 26,000 and\/or imprisonment.<\/p>\n

This incident mirrors a previous case in April, where a couple dressed as Spider Man and Spider Woman faced legal issues for performing motorcycle stunts on Dwarka streets. The couple was booked for various offences under the Motor Vehicle (MV) Act, including riding without helmets, lacking a mirror, and not displaying a number plate.<\/p>\n

“Two persons were riding a bike and wearing Spiderman costumes. An inquiry into the matter was conducted and the riders have been booked under sections different sections of the Motor Vehicle (MV) Act for offences without a helmet, without a mirror, without a licence, dangerous driving and not displaying a number plate etc,” a senior police officer stated.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a 74-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a car in Rajouri Garden. The police have arrested the woman believed to be driving the car involved in the accident.The victim has been identified as Amarjit Kaur from Nihal Vihar, a homemaker whose husband, Hardeep Singh, died earlier this year.According to the police, they received a report of the accident near pillar number 412 on Najafgarh Road. When officers arrived, they found the injured woman and a parked car. She was taken to a nearby hospital but was declared dead upon arrival.<\/p>\n

Investigations indicate that Kaur was shopping at the time of the incident. It appears that the car was speeding when the driver lost control and struck her.<\/p>\n

Witnesses reported hearing a loud noise and rushed to the scene. The driver fled the scene before the police arrived. Authorities have since formed multiple teams to locate the suspect and are reviewing CCTV footage to track the escape route.<\/p>\n
