Colgate Palmolive India<\/a> said half of its toothpaste portfolio by volume has transitioned to recyclable tubes<\/a>, and the oral care giant is on track to exit FY2024-25 with 100% recyclability.The company has built the environmental, social and governance efforts on three core pillars – driving social Impact<\/a>, helping millions of homes, and preserving the environment. It said it is pursuing these targets to create value and ensure that the business thrives while contributing positively to the world.<\/p>\n

During 23-24, Colgate India grew 9.5% in domestic sales with 26.4% profit after tax while EBITDA margins of 33.7% was historically the highest.<\/p>\n

The company is also on its way to reach 100% reusable, recyclable, or compostable plastic packaging by 2025, with 83% already achieved. Three of its plants have attained net water positivity. The company has over 2.8 MW of on-site solar installation<\/a>, and feasibility studies are being conducted for additional on-site solar installations. By 2030, the aim is to transition to 100% renewable electricity<\/a> across all owned industrial site operations.<\/p>\n

Over 5.2 million children across India have been reached through Colgate bright smiles, bright futures’ program \u2013 an in-school initiative that aims to improve the oral health of children. These children were spread across 10,000 schools in over 150 cities and towns, and were taught about inculcating good oral care habits, awareness about tobacco prevention and good nutrition.<\/p>\n
