BJP<\/a> working on to project former President and spacescientist APJ Abdul Kalam<\/a> as its own as the party’s minority Morcha<\/a> will launch a nationwide campaign on July 27 to mark the ninth death anniversary<\/a> of Kalam. The campaign will pay tribute to Kalam, an icon for the Pasmanda Muslims, through various programmes at the district level, BJP’s minority Morcha Jamal Siddiqui said. <\/p>\n

The BJP has been celebrating Kalam’s birth and death anniversary and despite minorities consolidation against the party in 2024 polls. It is continuing with these programmes. <\/p>\n

A wreath will be laid on the Kalam<\/a> Memorial on July 27, and BJP national president JP Nadda is likely to attend the event as a chief guest. <\/p>\n

Similar programmes will be held at the district level across the country, where wreaths will be laid on Kalam’s statues or portraits. <\/p>\n

The campaign will also feature a medical camp and a social media campaign, “Yuva Udhyami Award,” which will select 5 individuals from each state. Nominations for the award will be accepted until August 6, and the results will be announced on August 12.<\/div>\n
