The high tide at 3:32 pm is expected to reach 4.46 metres, whereas the low tide at 9:44 pm is expected to reach 0.98 metres.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the city has been experiencing little to no rainfall; however, the <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/india-meteorological-department\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">India Meteorological Department<\/a> (<a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/imd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IMD<\/a>) has issued an <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/orange-alert\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">orange alert<\/a> with expectations of moderate to heavy rainfall in Mumbai along with Thane Palghar and Sindhudurg districts.<\/p>\n<p>The IMD had also issued a <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/red-alert\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">red alert<\/a> with the expectation of heavy to very heavy rainfall in Raigad and Ratnagiri districts.<\/p>\n<p>In the last 24 hours, the average rainfall in Mumbai City was recorded at 81 mm, followed by Western Suburbs at 92 mm and Eastern Suburbs at 80 mm.<\/p>\n<p>According to the BMC, As per rainfall recorded, the highest rainfall from 25 July 2024, 8 am to 26 July 2024 8 am (24 hours) is as follows: -Nariyal Wadi Municipal School, Vakola &#8211; 142.2, Sewri Koliwada Municipal School, Sewri &#8211; 137.6 -&#8216;N&#8217; Ward Office, Ghatkopar &#8211; 133.34, Charkop Sector 1 Municipal School Kandivali (West) &#8211; 131.8, Magathane Bus Depot, Borivali &#8211; 129.2, Eksar Municipal School, Borivali &#8211; 128.2, Barve Nagar Municipal School, Ghatkopar (West) &#8211; 125.2, BKC Fire Station &#8211; 124, Nadkarni Park Municipal School, Wadala (East) &#8211; 119.40, SWD Workshop, Dadar &#8211; 119.34, Maravli Municipal school, Chembur &#8211; 118.60, N. M. Joshi Marg Municipal School, Lower Parel &#8211; 117. <strong>Schools to function normally:<\/strong><br \/>The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has announced that all schools and colleges will function normally on Friday, July 26, 2024, despite recent heavy downpours. This decision comes as weather conditions in Mumbai have stabilized, allowing daily life to proceed without disruption. Concurrently, the Raigad administration has taken a different approach by closing all schools and colleges on Friday due to a heavy rainfall alert.<\/p>\n<p>The BMC communicated their decision via X, stating that weather conditions in Mumbai are currently normal. &#8220;As a result, all schools and colleges in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) area will remain open regularly tomorrow, Friday, 26th July 2024. Parents are humbly requested not to believe any other information or rumours regarding school and college holidays and to rely only on official information from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation,&#8221; the BMC emphasized.<\/p>\n<p>Mumbaikars face transport troubles:<br \/>As many as 11 flights were cancelled and ten diverted to nearby airports from here on Thursday as heavy rains continued to lash Mumbai.
