There were two sessions of the assembly since May 3 when <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/ethnic-violence\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ethnic violence<\/a> broke out in Manipur.<\/p>\n<p>Replying to an unstarred question of the MLA K Meghhachandra Singh <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/chief-minister\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">chief minister<\/a> N Biren Singh who is in charge of home department said that reported death stood at 226 while number of houses set on fire was around 11133. The number of houses destroyed was 4569 and farmland of 5554 farmers were affected.<\/p>\n<p>The chief minister replied that around 39 people are still missing. Around 11892 cases were registered. The number of <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/relief-camps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">relief camps<\/a> stood at 302and the number of internally displaced people stood 59414. This is the number of inmates in the relief camp.\u201d District wise break up of the number of deaths cannot be given as the information is sensitive in nature and for reason of its likely ramification on the ongoing crisis.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The chief minister stated that one-time <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/financial-assistance\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">financial assistance<\/a> for clothing and personal belongings for those living in relief camps of Rs.1000 had been released four times. Students of Relief Camps had been linked to nearby schools and colleges. TV sets had been provided to relief camps to provide offline classes to students. Complementary nutrition and personal hygiene support items. 2370 Temporary prefabricated houses had been constructed, 200 in progress and 430 yet to be started. Facilities for reconstruction of documents like Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, and Bank Passbook etc. Agricultural Crop compensation of Rs.18.91 crore. released for 3483 affected farmers for equivalent crop loss.
