A &#8216;yellow&#8217; alert has been issued for August 6-8, signaling the need for vigilance regarding the expected rain. Safdarjung has recorded a total of 114.1 mm of rainfall so far this August, with a significant 107.6 mm falling on August 1 alone due to heavy rain. This amount is noteworthy given that the average rainfall for the entire month of August is 233.1 mm. In contrast, July ended with a rainfall deficit of 3%, receiving 203.7 mm compared to the normal of 209.7 mm.<\/p>\n<h2>Current Weather Systems and Impact<\/h2>\n<p>According to the India Meteorological Department, a deep depression over northeast Madhya Pradesh and adjacent south Uttar Pradesh has weakened into a depression as of 5:30 AM IST on August 5. It has been moving west-northwestward at 22 kmph, and as of 8:30 AM IST, it was located over northeast Rajasthan, near Jaipur.
