Bumrah hasn&#8217;t played any cricket since India&#8217;s triumph in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 on June 29 and is likely to return to competitive cricket against New Zealand in October.\u00a0  <!-- \/8323530\/ITv_Desktop_VDO_1X1 -->\n  <\/p>\n<p>According to a report from PTI, the management is looking to keep Bumrah fresh and injury-free for the Tests against New Zealand and Australia. India next play two Tests against Bangladesh starting on September 19 and hosts New Zealand in a three-match Test series in October-November\u00a0before travelling to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy starting on November 22.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If Bumrah misses out again, the BCCI&#8217;s Selection Committee is looking to call either Arshdeep Singh or <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.indiatvnews.com\/topic\/khaleel-ahmed\" rel=\"noopener\">Khaleel Ahmed<\/a>. Both the left-arm pacers have recently cemented their places in the white-ball teams but are yet to make their Test debuts.<\/p>\n<p>Yash Dayal is also in contention for a call but both Arshdeep and Khaleel lead the battle for Bumrah&#8217;s spot, according to the same report.
