In the first such action in Punjab, four farmer unions staged a protest at the venue of a public meeting which was to be addressed by BJP Punjab chief Sunil Jakhar in Bathinda on March 24.Jakhar had skipped the event, named \u2018Booth Mahotsav\u2019.<br \/>A day later, a poster calling for the boycott of BJP surfaced at Bharu village in Muktsar district. The village falls in Faridkot parliamentary constituency. The poster had also warned BJP leaders of visiting the village at their own risk.<br \/>Sanyukt Kisan Morcha, the forum which spearheaded the 2020-2021 farm protest, gave calls on March 17 and 19 for boycotting the BJP in Lok Sabha polls.
