Stree 2\u00a0<\/em>is smashing box office records and how. The horror-comedy has now crossed the \u20b9 250 crore-mark. On day 6, the film, directed by Amar Kaushik, collected \u20b925 crore, according to a\u00a0Sacnilk<\/a>\u00a0report. In total, the movie has earned \u20b9 254.55 crore so far. Headlined by\u00a0Rajkummar Rao<\/a>\u00a0and Shraddha Kapoor, the project is the second instalment of the\u00a0Stree<\/em>\u00a0franchise. The first film was released in 2018. The series is part of producer Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe, which also features\u00a0Roohi,\u00a0Bhediya\u00a0and\u00a0Munjya. Released on August 15,\u00a0Stree 2<\/em>\u00a0clashed at the box office with John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh’s\u00a0Vedaa<\/em>,\u00a0and Akshay Kumar and Vaani Kapoor’s\u00a0Khel Khel Mein<\/em>. In terms of collections,\u00a0Stree 2<\/em>\u00a0is performing significantly better than its competitors.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh posted a note on X (formerly Twitter) to share the day 5 box office collections of\u00a0Stree 2<\/a><\/em>.\u00a0He wrote, \u201cStree 2\u00a0<\/em>continues its triumphant run, remaining UNSHAKABLE at the box office… Displays spectacular hold on a partial holiday [Day 5; Raksha Bandhan], following a glorious 4-day extended weekend.\u00a0Stree 2<\/em>\u00a0has already crossed the lifetime business of\u00a0Fighter\u00a0and is on track to surpass the lifetime business of\u00a0Kalki 2898AD\u00a0[#Hindi version] in Week 1 itself, thus emerging as the Highest-grossing Hindi film of 2024.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cIt’s a bit early to estimate the lifetime business of\u00a0Stree 2<\/em>,\u00a0given its exceptional trending… With no signs of slowing down, \u20b9 400 cr is well within reach and even \u20b9 500 crore cannot be ruled out. [Week 1] Wed previews \u20b9 9.40 crore, Thu \u20b9 55.40 crore, Fri \u20b9 35.30 crore, Sat \u20b9 45.70 crore, Sun \u20b9 58.20 crore, Monday \u20b9 38.40 crore. Total: \u20b9 242.40 crore.
