Officials from the Hyderabad<\/a> Disaster Management and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA<\/a>), accompanied by local police, commenced a demolition drive at the N Convention Hall<\/a> near Shilparamam in Hyderabad on Saturday morning. <\/p>\n

The convention hall<\/a> is owned by renowned Telugu actor Nagarjuna<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The demolition follows allegations that the convention center was illegally constructed by encroaching upon Tammidi Cheruvu<\/a>, a local water body. <\/p>\n

Madhapur Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) said that police force has been deployed to ensure the process is conducted smoothly.<\/p>\n

“HYDRAA officials have started demolishing the N Convention Hall this morning and we have deployed police force to ensure the demolition is carried out smoothly, as the land comes under the FTL zone, “said the official.<\/p>\n

Reports indicate that a complaint was lodged with HYDRAA accusing the owners of encroaching upon three and a half acres of land that was originally part of the lake. <\/p>\n

The ongoing demolition is part of the response to these claims as officials investigate the extent of the encroachment<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition, it is noteworthy that when he was a TDP MLA, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had previously made remarks in the Assembly regarding the N Convention Hall.
