The festival displays innovation in the solar sector that can drive a greener future. Among the displays is a virtual flipbook, which educates people about successful case studies from around the world. It also includes Modhera village, which is India&#8217;s first solar-powered village. Further, it depicts how solar water purifiers installed in water kiosks, hospitals, schools and residences enabled safe drinking water in Tanzania.<\/p>\n<p>Another key attraction is Solartron, an interface that shows how solar energy has been harnessed by India, USA, Germany, Japan and Australia. It shows that India&#8217;s <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/solar-power\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">solar power<\/a> capacity reached 85GW in the June 2024 quarter, a 32-fold rise in the last decade.<\/p>\n<p>A <a data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/virtual-reality\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">virtual reality<\/a> zone that explores how solar energy has been harnessed through the ages and advancements in solar power, has become popular among visitors. A 360-degree immersive zone, called Solaris, gives visitors a view of a clean metropolis and explains how solar technologies will reshape how we live and work. Another student, Kajal Singh, said she found the event fun and educational.
