Although polygraph results can&#8217;t be used as evidence in court, they can help gather corroborative evidence, officials told PTI. Polygraphs track psychological responses, such as heart rate and blood pressure, to identify inaccuracies in statements.<\/p>\n<p>The CBI claims Ghosh was informed about the incident at 9:58 am on August 9, but delayed filing a police complaint. The victim was declared dead at 12:44 pm, yet he made a &#8220;vague complaint&#8221; much later.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;He did not try to get an FIR lodged immediately. Rather a new theory of suicide was introduced which is not possible as per external injury visible on the body of the victim that was undressed at the lower part,&#8221; the CBI alleged.<\/p>\n<p>Ghosh reportedly contacted Tala Police Station Officer In Charge (OC) Abhijit Mondal at 10:03 am and an advocate at 1:40 pm. However, the unnatural death case was registered only at 11:30 pm. Mondal, arrested by the CBI, allegedly received incident information at 10:03 am but arrived an hour later, possibly tampering evidence.<\/p>\n<p><!--\/include_growfast.cms?pagename=article&skipcss=1potime:2--><br \/>The CBI contends that a misleading general diary entry was made in conspiracy with hospital authorities. The entry stated the victim was in an &#8220;unconscious state,&#8221; although a doctor had already confirmed her death. Mondal\u2019s failure to register an FIR and secure the crime scene potentially led to vital evidence being compromised.The trainee doctor was discovered severely injured in the seminar hall.
