The accused fled from the spot and the victim was rushed to hospital, where he was declared dead.<br \/>The deceased, Sukhwinder Singh alias Bablu, 40, a security guard, was on his way to work when he was assaulted.Daba police have registered a case against Balbir Singh, 46, his wife Charanjit Kaur, 45 and daughters Deepjot Kaur, 22 and Mani, 20. The accused and the victim live in the same locality.<br \/>Inspector Sukhjinder Singh, SHO, Daba police station said that Balbir and Sukhwinder Singh had an argument a few days ago for unknown reasons. They exchanged heated arguments on the issue on Thursday night as well. On Thursday night, when Sukhwinder left his house to walk towards his workplace, he crossed Balbir Singh\u2019s house. Balbir, who was standing outside the house, saw Sukhwinder and passed a few remarks. This led to a spat.<br \/>Sukhwinder tried to leave but Balbir\u2019s wife and daughters rushed out with baseball bats and pestle. The family attacked him, inflicting severe injuries on his head. While the accused escaped, residents informed Sukhwinder\u2019s family, who rushed him to hospital, where he was declared dead.<br \/>Police registered a case under section 302 (murder) of the IPC against all four family members. The inspector said, \u201cPolice are trying to nab the accused.
