This will include medical cases that fall under the category of &#8217;emergency services&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>This, however, doesn&#8217;t put an end to their protests and the movement against the rape and murder of a 31-year-old junior doctor in Kolkata&#8217;s RG Kar college and hospital last month.<\/p>\n<p><!--\/include_growfast.cms?pagename=article&skipcss=1potime:1--><br \/>While emergency services will resume, OPD services will remain suspended, as part of the prolonged protests. Doctors will prepare are plan of action to continue the &#8216;justice for <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/abhaya-movement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Abhaya movement<\/a>&#8216;. &#8220;Our fight for justice has not ended,&#8221; Mahato asserted. <\/p>\n<p>Amidst floods that have affected parts of West Bengal, doctors have decided to provide medical relief to the people impacted by the natural disaster. <\/p>\n<p>Further, junior doctors will also withdraw their sit-in outside Swasthya Bhawan on Friday, but the movement will continue across medical colleges in West Bengal. <\/p>\n<p>These developments come just days after doctors met with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, after two failed attempts at talks between the government and resident doctors in the state.<\/p>\n<p>Junior doctors have been protesting for over a month now, in a movement that expanded across India.<\/p>\n<p>The RG Kar case is being investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation with the Supreme Court hearing a suo-moto case related to the incident that shocked India.<\/p>\n<p>CBI so far has arrested the former principal of RG Kar college Sandip Ghosh and the officer in-charge of Tala Police station, with both being taken into custody on charges of trying to hide the horrific crime.  <br \/><!--\/article_liveblog.cms?msid=105115637&pos=botpotime:1--><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><br \/>\n<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/news\/india\/kolkata-rape-murder-case-junior-doctors-announce-partial-withdrawal-of-strike-to-resume-emergency-services\/articleshow\/113500310.cms\">Source link <\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Junior doctors in West Bengal&#8217;s Kolkata have announced a partial withdrawal to their agitation on Thursday.
