Virat Kohli’s poor form in home Test match continued in the second innings of the India vs Bangladesh 1st Test. The right-handed batter with 80 international centuries to his name, hasn’t had a great run with the bat in Test matches in home and his string of low scores continued in Chennai as he departed for 17 off 37 in the second innings. However, the batter will be kicking himself after seeing the video of his dismissal in the dressing room.<\/p>\n

Replays clearly showed that Kohli had got an inside edge on to his pad off the bowling of Mehidy Hasan Miraz as the on-field umpire raised his finger. While Kohli would have survived had he opted for a Decision Review System (DRS), for some reason, Kohli chose not to review, perhaps not sure if the ball had taken a fine edge off his bat. Fortunately for India though, a 227-run first innings lead meant what could perhaps termed as a brain fade moment for Kohli might not turn out to be as costly for them as it might have otherwise. India ended Day 2, having scored 81\/3 in the second innings, leading Bangladesh by 308 runs.
