NEW DELHI: India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah<\/a> reached a significant milestone by taking his 400th international wicket during the first Test against Bangladesh at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday.
Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar<\/a> praised Bumrah, calling him a “bowler without a weakness.”
Bumrah\u2019s performance saw him take four wickets for 50 runs, helping India gain a strong position in the match.Manjrekar, speaking on ESPNcricinfo, highlighted Bumrah’s all-round abilities and sharp cricketing mind. He noted, “We all know about his variations, his thinking \u2013 one of the sharpest thinking fast bowlers. We saw a certain amount of meanness as well in the way he bowled to Taskin (Ahmed). But the one thing that came through today was that he is a bowler without a weakness \u2013 whatever the opposition, pitch conditions, and that’s actually the best way to judge greatness.”<\/p>\n

Bumrah’s 400th wicket came when he dismissed Mushfiqur Rahim<\/a> of Bangladesh. This achievement places Bumrah as the sixth Indian pacer to reach this milestone and the 10th Indian bowler overall.
In his career, Bumrah has played 196 international matches, taking 401 wickets at an average of 21.01. He has taken 163 wickets in 37 Tests, 149 wickets in 89 ODIs, and 89 wickets in 70 T20Is.
