The suspects &#8211; S Ajesh (27), Nidhin Kumar (26), and Akhilesh (32) &#8211; are natives of <!-- -->Ayyappanagar<!-- --> of Kelugude in Kasaragod.<br \/>Riyas Moulavi (34), from Madikeri in Karnataka&#8217;s Coorg, was found hacked in his room on March 20, 2017. According to chargesheet, the killers entered the mosque compound, knocked at Riyas Moulavi&#8217;s door, &amp; stabbed him multiple times when he opened it.<br \/>The probe team had arrested the three RSS activists, and the trial began in 2019.
