The brothers returned home on March 27. <br \/>A man from Pakistan, Harun Arshad (33), too spoke to TOI and said he too had been duped in the same fashion as youth from India.<br \/>Manpreet said they had been sent to a <!-- -->Russian camp<!-- --> in Saint Petersburg eight days ago. &#8220;We were told we will be sent home, but are now in this camp, where more than 300 people like us have been kept, who are constantly being forced to join Russian Army. Not just boys, girls are trapped here too. Most of them hail from India, but some are from Pakistan and Afghanistan too. <br \/>Manpreet said he came in contact with same agents as Mukesh and Sunny. &#8220;Baljeet Kaur from <!-- -->Jalandhar<!-- --> defrauded us of lakhs. She has a <!-- -->Pakistani contact<!-- --> in Dubai, to whom she sends money that she loots from her victims. She sent me to Dubai, then Thailand and then Russia in a bluff of sending me to Germany. Sandeep Singh from Jalandhar is an agent who defrauded me. Pannu from Mukerian is another agent who betrayed me and my family. They don&#8217;t pick my call I don&#8217;t know whom to contact. I feel helpless.&#8221;<br \/>He said he stayed in a jail in Russia for two months because he disagreed to join Russian Army and then they threatened to send him to jail for 10 years for illegal border crossing. &#8220;I hail from a poor family. My family wasn&#8217;t able to afford a lawyer in Russia, so I had to stay in jail. I met Mukesh, Sunny and Harun in Belarus and we were put in the same cell in the jail in Moscow. Our phones were taken and we weren&#8217;t able to talk to our families. I talked to my family after two months. Four boys were put in each cell and we were enclosed in a room with just a small iron door from where we used to get food. This went on for two months. We didn&#8217;t see the outside world for two months,&#8221; he said.<br \/>&#8220;Mukesh and Sunny landed safely home, but my parents didn&#8217;t have money to hire a lawyer. Same is the case with Harun. I talked to my family two days ago. They are extremely stressed. I am scared too. I want to go home,&#8221; he added.<br \/>Manpreet said he was now staying in a room with Harun, Mohit Kumar (24) from Ambala and Pradeep Kamboj (33) from Rampura in UP. &#8220;I have met other victims too, most of them are Indian. Some hail from Pakistan and Afghanistan too. We are a total of 300 people. There are some girls from Bihar also. But they are kept on another floor,&#8221; he said.<br \/>Telling about the victims&#8217; routine in Russian camp, Manpreet said they woke up at 8am, were served mostly porridge and bread by 9am, and then allowed to stroll around till 1pm, when they get lunch. &#8220;They serve us non-vegetarian food, so I only eat boiled potato and bread. It&#8217;s very hard to survive here,&#8221; he added. <br \/>Manpreet said a person from the Russian govt came every Monday, Tuesday, and Friday, with a list of people who could be released for India. &#8220;All the boys in the camp are a part of a WhatsApp group. Whoever reaches home, he updates in the group.
