Shared by Instagram user Piyush Monga<\/a> (@salaryscale), the video highlights the experiences of a woman with over 10 years of work experience who earns about $100,000 annually, which translates to approximately Rs 60 lakhs.<\/p>\n

In the video, the woman expressed dissatisfaction with her salary, stating, \u201cNot at all,\u201d and describing it as \u201cnot that much given the current economy.\u201d She explained, \u201cIt is not easy to live in Toronto with that sort of money. It’s really bad.\u201d<\/p>\n

The post includes the caption, \u201cAsked if she was happy with her salary, she $95,000 is not enough for Toronto? Well, this is a personal take. I guess $95,000 is enough for a single person but, our test lead in the house has a different take on it.\u201d <\/p>\n

When asked by the interviewer about the sufficiency of her salary given the cost of living in Toronto, she mentioned that prices have significantly increased. \u201cA stick of butter was $4, now it’s $8. So inflation is very real,\u201d she said. She contrasted this with the situation in India, saying, \u201cIt does not hit you like that in India.\u201d She revealed that she rents a single room for $1,600, which is around Rs 99,000.<\/p>\n

The video has garnered various responses from viewers. One user wrote, \u201cMost of these people come here for 5 yrs and say o it’s hard.. our parents have been here for 30 yrs worked for $5hr in the 80s, 6.85 in the 90s finally now their settled. In summary it’s a journey..don’t expect to be set in 5yrs.\u201d Another commented, \u201c95k should be enough for one person! A lot of people are earning less than that in Toronto.\u201d A third user added, \u201cPurchasing power matters India\u2019s 30 lakh could be equivalent to 125k in the US.\u201d

Another user provided a different perspective, stating, \u201cFYI some people might have a lot of responsibilities. Maybe she has loans to repay. Stop judging based on half stories.\u201d<\/div>\n
