The film grossed \u20b95 crore at the box office on its opening day but saw a significant drop in earnings over the next two days. On October 4, it earned \u20b91.35 crore and\u00a0further\u00a0dipped to \u20b91.25 crore on Friday, with an overall English occupancy of 7.96%.\u00a0As of now, the\u00a0film&#8217;s\u00a0total collection stands at \u20b97.75 crore, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sacnilk.com\/quicknews\/Joker_Folie_a_Deux_2024_Box_Office_Collection_Day_3\u00a0\" rel=\"nofollow noindex\">reported Sacnilk<\/a>. Directed by Todd Phillips and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, this sequel to the 2019 hit\u00a0<em>Joker<\/em>\u00a0also stars Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, and Zazie Beetz in significant roles.<\/p>\n<p><!--MIDTABOOLA--><\/p>\n<p>The 2019 original <em>Joker<\/em> set the bar high\u00a0in terms of\u00a0box office collection. With a meagre $65 million budget, the film generated an incredible $1.07 billion worldwide. In contrast, <em>Joker: Folie a Deux<\/em> is made with a budget of $200 million and\u00a0hasn&#8217;t\u00a0gotten as many favourable reviews as its predecessor. The sequel is expected to gross between $50 and $65 million in the opening weekend, far behind the original film\u00a0which\u00a0grossed $13.3 million in Thursday previews and $96.2 million on opening weekend,<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2024\/film\/box-office\/joker-2-box-office-previews-1236167671\/\" rel=\"nofollow noindex\"> reported Variety.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Joker: Folie a Deux <\/em>hit the theatres in\u00a0India,\u00a02\u00a0days ahead of its worldwide release. Sharing the fresh posters of the film on Instagram, makers urged the audience to bookmark the global premiere date. The poster showed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/entertainment\/venice-film-festival-joaquin-phoenix-lady-gaga-todd-phillips-at-joker-folie-a-deux-premiere-6493982\">Joaquin Phoenix<\/a> sporting the iconic painted Joker face.
