The deceased, identified as <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/sushil-kaushik\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sushil Kaushik<\/a>, was portraying the role of <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/lord-rama\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lord Rama<\/a> on stage when he began to feel unwell. He moved backstage and collapsed. <\/p>\n<p><!--\/article_liveblog.cms?msid=105115637&pos=toppotime:2-->Family members rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead after an hour. According to a senior police officer, Kaushik worked as a property dealer. He was also one of the founding members of the &#8220;<a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/jai-shri-ramlila\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jai Shri Ramlila<\/a>&#8221; committee, established in 1977.<\/p>\n<p>Rahul Kaushik, a relative, mentioned that Sushil had been performing as Raja Ram since 1987 and was involved in singing.
