(Getty Images)<\/span><\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p>NEW DELHI: Former <!-- -->England<!-- --> captain <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/joe-root\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" frmappuse=\"1\">Joe Root<\/a> broke Indian batting legend <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/sunil-gavaskar\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" frmappuse=\"1\">Sunil Gavaskar<\/a>&#8216;s record of 34 Test hundreds on the third day of the first Test match against Pakistan in Multan on Wednesday.<br \/>Root achieved the milestone in the second session of the day with a single off Abrar Ahmed.
