Police obtained information about this <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/uk-citizen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UK citizen<\/a> following the interrogation of Ekhlaq, who was arrested in the Rs 5,000 crore drug case in Mahipalpur, according to Special Cell sources.<\/p>\n<p>The seizure is believed to be connected to the earlier recovery of hundreds of kilograms of Colombian cocaine worth over Rs 5,000 crore in southwest Delhi&#8217;s Mahipalpur. The official also indicated that a raid is currently ongoing in the Ramesh Nagar area of west Delhi.<\/p>\n<p>The drugs found at the Mahipalpur godown were reportedly meant to be distributed at four big upcoming concerts and music festivals in Delhi, Mumbai, and Goa, scheduled between October and March.<\/p>\n<p><!--\/include_growfast.cms?pagename=article&skipcss=1potime:1--><br \/>Other than Ekhlaq, those arrested earlier in the drug bust case were identified as Tushar Goyal (40), Himanshu Kumar (27) and Aurangzeb Siddiqui (23) of Delhi and Bharat Kumar Jain (48) of Mumbai.The cartel responsible for this operation has been involved in smuggling cocaine from Latin American countries like Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, and Mexico, and distributing it to college students, working professionals, and affluent businessmen in Delhi and Mumbai.The operation began following a tip-off from a central intelligence agency in August. On October 1, police received information about a large consignment of drugs arriving at the southwest Delhi godown owned by Tushar Goyal.
