Bengaluru residents are set to brace for a wet week ahead as heavy rains are forecast to persist throughout the city. <\/p>\n

According to the latest weather report from the Indian Meteorological Department<\/a> (IMD<\/a>), the city experienced a maximum temperature of 25.4\u00b0C and a minimum temperature of 20.7\u00b0C over the past 24 hours, with a recorded rainfall of 3.3 mm.<\/p>\n

Moreover, the weather watchman has signalled an yellow alert<\/a> for a few parts of the state, especially coastal Karnataka.<\/p>\n

For the coming days, heavy rain is expected to continue, with the forecast indicating a generally cloudy sky accompanied by substantial downpours from October 14 to October 17. The IMD\u2019s 7-day forecast predicts the following weather conditions:<\/p>\n

October 15:<\/strong> Maximum temperature of 25\u00b0C, minimum of 21\u00b0C. Expect a generally cloudy sky with heavy rain.<\/p>\n


The Bengaluru region is also on high alert, with districts such as Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Chikkaballapura, Chikkamagaluru, Kolar, and Mysuru likely to see isolated instances of very heavy rain.October 16:<\/strong> Slight increase in maximum temperature to 26\u00b0C, heavy rain persists.The Bengaluru metropolitan area and surrounding districts, including Bangalore Rural, Bangalore Urban, Chamarajanagar, Mandya, Mysuru, and Ramanagara, are expected to face very heavy rain as well, potentially leading to local disruptions.<\/p>\n

October 17: <\/strong>Maximum temperature of 27\u00b0C, but no respite from the heavy rain.<\/p>\n

A slight shift is expected by October 18, where light rain will dominate the day with the same minimum temperature of 21\u00b0C and a maximum of 28\u00b0C. By October 19 and 20, the forecast indicates the rain will ease to regular showers while temperatures remain stable, peaking at 28\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

Regional rainfall alerts<\/h2>\n

The Met Department has issued alerts for heavy rainfall across various regions of Karnataka over the next few days, indicating the need for caution in vulnerable areas.<\/p>\n

On October 15, isolated heavy to very heavy rain or thundershowers are expected over the districts of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi in Coastal Karnataka. Additionally, parts of South Interior Karnataka, including Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Mandya, and Mysuru, are forecast to experience heavy rainfall. <\/p>\n

By October 16, the heavy rainfall will spread further. Districts in Coastal Karnataka will continue to receive intense showers, while parts of Dharwad, Gadag, and Haveri in North Interior Karnataka are also likely to experience significant rainfall.<\/p>\n

Moving into October 17, scattered heavy rain is expected to continue across Coastal Karnataka. The downpour will also extend into parts of South Interior Karnataka, with areas such as Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural, Chikkamagaluru, Kolar, Kodagu, and Ramanagara anticipated to experience very heavy rain.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
