central funding, the government aims to reduce litigations around ownership, usher in <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/land-administration-reforms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">land administration reforms<\/a> and promote ease of living.<\/p>\n<p>About 22.3 million maps have been digitised so far and 140 million unique land parcel identi\ufb01cation numbers, or the so-called <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/bhu-aadhaar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bhu-Aadhaar<\/a>, have been issued, the minister said.<\/p>\n<p>Chouhan was speaking after inaugurating, virtually, a two-day global workshop on modern technologies in survey for urban land records, organised by the department of land resources in the national capital.<\/p>\n<p>The government expedited <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/digitisation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">digitisation<\/a> of land records, as the country was estimated to lose 1.3% of its gross domestic product due to projects being stalled over litigation involving <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/land-disputes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">land disputes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--\/include_growfast.cms?pagename=article&skipcss=1potime:1--><br \/>Citing a study, an official statement last year said that about 66% of all civil suits in India were related to land or property disputes and that the average pendency of a land acquisition dispute was 20 years.The Digital India Land Records Modernisation Programme is implemented by the <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/central-government\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">central
