The India Meteorological Department (<a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/imd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IMD<\/a>) reports that Cyclone Dana has intensified into a severe cyclonic storm, with wind speeds potentially reaching up to 120 km\/h, posing a threat to nearly half of the state&#8217;s population.<\/p>\n<p>As of 11:30 PM on Wednesday, the IMD indicated that the cyclone was located 330 km southeast of Paradip (Odisha), 360 km south-southeast of Dhamara (Odisha), and 420 km south-southeast of Sagar Island (West Bengal).
