Today, India is known globally for its vibrant startup ecosystem<\/a>, which is the world\u2019s third largest. But like the rest of the world, the country\u2019s startups have been grappling with a \u2018funding winter<\/a>\u2019. Only two startups attained unicorn status<\/a> \u2014 a valuation of $1 billion \u2013 last year. <\/p>\n

A new report brings out the continuing downward trend in funding, as investors remain more cautious and selective, even as India remained the fourth largest venture market in the world in 2023.<\/p>\n
