After Delhi, the next stop on Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati Tour was Jaipur, where he performed on Sunday. During one of his sets, he called a Marwari fan over to share the stage with him, and the interaction has been winning hearts on the internet. Diljit’s team shared a video on their official Instagram account where he praised the man’s pagdi<\/em>, took pride in India’s rich diverse culture, and then broke into bhangra on stage, as the fan matched his steps.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The video started with Diljit announcing to the crowd, “Bhai ke pagdi ke liye zordaar taaliyaan yaar<\/em> (Please clap for his turban, guys).”<\/p>\n

“Yeh pagdi humari shaan hai; yeh humare desh ki yahi khoobsurti hai; har 2, 3, 4 ghante baad humari boli change ho jaati hai, humara khaana change ho jaata hai; yeh humare desh ki yeh<\/em> beauty hai <\/em>(This turban is our pride; this is the beauty of our country; every 2, 3, 4 hours our speech changes, our food changes; this is the beauty of our country),” the singer continued while interacting with the crowd.\u00a0<\/p>\n

As the crowd kept cheering on, Diljit continued, “Aur hum jahan jahan se hai, koi Jaipur se hai, koi Gujarat se hai, koi Delhi se hai, Haryana se hai, Punjab se hai, hum sabko pyaar karte hai<\/em> (And wherever we are from, someone is from Jaipur, someone from Gujarat, someone from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, we love everyone).”<\/p>\n

After this brief conversation with the audience, the Crew actor asked the fan if he was a Marwari, to which he replied yes. After asking the audience to applaud for Marwaris, Diljit started singing Main Hoon Punjab and said, “Mera bhai Marwari aa gaya oye<\/em>,” a twist to his original hook line. This was followed by a bhangra performance from Diljit and the fan.\u00a0<\/p>\n

On the acting front, Diljit Dosanjh appeared in three movies this year – Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila<\/em>, Crew <\/em>with Kareena Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Tabu, and the Punjabi movie Jatt & Juliet 3<\/em> with Neeru Bajwa.<\/p>\n
