Consequently, all educational institutions\u2014including schools, colleges, and universities\u2014will remain closed on that day.<\/p>\n<p><!--\/article_liveblog.cms?msid=105115637&pos=toppotime:2-->\u201cChhat Pooja is an important festival for the people of NCT of Delhi. All our ministers and MLAs are inspecting the Chhath ghats&#8230;I urge the BJP not to do politics over Chhath puja,&#8221; she told news agency ANI.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>Chhath Puja 2024 dates<\/h2>\n<p>Chhath Puja, an auspicious four-day festival, began on Tuesday. The festival involves a series of well-planned rituals and offerings, starting with Nahay Khay, where participants take a ritual bath and enjoy a simple meal.The following day, devotees observe Kharna, fasting throughout the day and breaking their fast only after sunset as an offering to the deities. The main ritual, filled with deep devotion, occurs on the third day. Chhath devotees gather at bodies of water, such as rivers and ponds, before sunrise. Standing waist-deep in water, they offer &#8216;arghya&#8217; (water offerings) to the rising sun while chanting prayers.
