Rishabh Pant‘s twin half-centuries in Mumbai helped him end the three-Test series against New Zealand as the top-scorer, which has taken him to No. 6 in the latest ICC rankings for Test batsmen.
Pant was the only Indian batsman to aggregate over 200 runs during the embarrassing 0-3 whitewash against New Zealand at home. He scored three half-centuries.
As a result, the 27-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman moved up to the sixth spot after just five Tests since his return to red-ball cricket after a horrific car accident in December 2022.

New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell, who scored 82 in the first innings of the Mumbai Test also benefited, rising eight places to be right behind Pant at number seven.
