NEW DELHI: The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 promises an exciting season, with teams announcing their retentions ahead of the upcoming auction.
Fans across India are thrilled as teams like Mumbai Indians<\/a>, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Delhi Capitals, UP Warriorz, and Gujarat Giants<\/a> confirm their lists of retained players on Thursday.
Mumbai Indians<\/span>
Mumbai Indians (MI) have retained 14 players, including key contributors like captain Harmanpreet Kaur<\/a>, Natalie Sciver-Brunt, and star all-rounders Amelia Kerr and Hayley Matthews.
The team maintains a strong core from its celebrated “Batch of 2024,” with players like Shabnim Ismail and Yastika Bhatia set to return. <\/p>\n

However, MI said farewell to fan favourites like Issy Wong, known for her historic WPL<\/a> hat-trick, alongside Humairaa Kaazi, Fatima Jaffer, and Priyanka Bala, ensuring room for new faces in the 2025 auction.
