BENGALURU: Senior employees of TCS saw significant reductions in their quarterly variable pay for the Sept quarter, receiving 20-50% of the payout even though they fulfilled the mandatory office attendance criteria.
\u201cHR has told us that they are not aware of why this has happened. For some other accounts, the message has gone through a project allocation index where any unit\u2019s performance during the quarter is considered for variable pay,\u201d an employee told TOI.
In response to TOI\u2019s query, TCS said, \u201cFor Q2FY25, we have paid out 100% QVA (quarterly variable allowance) to junior grades across the company. For all other grades, the QVA depends on their unit\u2019s business performance. This is in line with our standard practice across quarters.\u201d Earlier this year, TCS implemented a policy linking variable pay to office attendance.
