The miscreants beat her husband with belts when he tried to stop them, said ToI&#8217;s report further. <\/p>\n<p>The woman\u2019s desperate cries for help eventually caught the attention of people on the platform, leading to a police alert. However, she claimed that instead of taking immediate action against the attackers, the Government Railway Police (GRP) initially detained her husband. This led to protests by the couple\u2019s relatives, who arrived at the station. Following the uproar, the GRP released the husband and filed a case at the Aligarh GRP police station against the assailants. <\/p>\n<p>One of the accused, Jitu Singh, a resident of Usmanpur Khandauli in Agra, was arrested, while the other three, including Mahesh from Singh Kuberpur, are still on the run. Two of the attackers remain unidentified.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The goons started staring at me soon after the train departed from Delhi. When I objected, they tried to touch me. My husband tried to intervene but he was attacked. Though I pleaded for help, other passengers watched silently,&#8221; the victim told ToI. <\/p>\n<p><!--\/include_growfast.cms?pagename=article&skipcss=1potime:2--><br \/>GRP SHO Shailendra Yadav told TOI, &#8220;After the victim&#8217;s husband filed a complaint, a case was registered under BNS sections 74 (assault or use of criminal force against a woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 115- 2 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 352 (insult that provokes breach of peace).&#8221; The couple got married two months ago, and since then they have been residing in Delhi, where the man runs a business selling clothes.
