Miley Cyrus fans, we have some fantastic news in store for you. The singer has spilled the beans on her next album. Don’t know about you, but we just can’t wait for it. Miley Cyrus, in a recent interview, said that the album is inspired by\u00a0The Wall<\/em>, a\u00a0studio album by Pink Floyd. The album is \u201cas much visual as it is musical.\u201d\u00a0She said, \u201cMy idea was making\u00a0The Wall<\/em>,\u00a0but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture.\u201d Excited, already?<\/p>\n

Sharing her thoughts behind the album, Miley Cyrus told Harper Bazar,<\/a> \u201cThe vibe is hypnotizing and glamorous. It’s a concept album that’s an attempt to medicate somewhat of a sick culture through music. I would like to be a human psychedelic for people. I don’t want anyone trying to be like me or imitate me or even be inspired by me. I want to impact frequencies in your body that make you vibrate at a different level.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued, \u201cThe visual component of this is driving the sound. It was important for me that every song has these healing sound properties. The songs, whether they’re about destruction or heartbreak or death, they’re presented in a way that is beautiful, because the nastiest times of our life do have a point of beauty. They are the shadow, they are the charcoal, they are the shading. You can’t have a painting without highlights and contrast.\u201d<\/p>\n

Miley Cyrus has collaborated with director Panos Cosmatos, who is known for his work in the 2018 horror film Mandy<\/em>. Miley said Mandy<\/em> is one of her favourite films and she always wanted to play Nicolas Cage. She added, \u201cI love that it’s a romance revenge story. Romance and revenge\u2014those are some of the greatest tragedies. I will forever and always will be interested in those.\u201d<\/p>\n

As per Panos Cosmatos, \u201c[The album is] more experimental than anything she’s ever done, but in a pop way that I love.\u201d<\/p>\n
