NEW DELHI: Star Indian player Rishabh Pant<\/a> on Saturday joined an exclusive club, becoming the third wicket-keeper in World Test Championship (WTC) history to complete 100 dismissals.
Pant achieved this milestone on the second day of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series opener against Australia in Perth. The 27-year-old reached the three-digit mark by completing a catch of Mitchell Starc<\/a> off Harshit Rana’s delivery.<\/p>\n

    Prior to Pant’s achievement, only two wicket-keepers had reached the milestone of 100 dismissals in the WTC: Australia’s Alex Carey and the West Indies’ Joshua Da Silva.
    In 33 matches, Carey has accumulated 137 dismissals, with 125 catches and 12 stumpings to his credit. Da Silva’s record shows 108 dismissals across 30 games, comprising 103 catches and five stumpings.
    It is worth noting that Pant’s 99th dismissal came when he caught Carey off Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling on Day 2. Pant’s century of dismissals includes 87 catches and 13 stumpings from 30 matches.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
