\u201cPlayStation 5 on Blinkit. Launching tomorrow,\u201d Albinder Dhindsa<\/a>, founder and chief executive, said in a post on microblogging platform X.<\/p>\n

Quick-commerce platforms have been constantly broadening their categories by partnering with brands and adding products that were earlier sold on ecommerce platforms. <\/p>\n

ET had earlier reported that Zomato<\/a>, which is scaling up its quick-commerce operations, has had conversations with individual brand owners for various categories to stock up inventory to build its own supply chain to directly source branded products.<\/p>\n

On September 22 last year<\/a>, ET reported that Blinkit had partnered with Apple reseller Unicorn to deliver the India-made iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru.<\/p>\n

Both Blinkit and Mumbai-based quick-commerce platform have forayed into fashion, partnering with apparel firms and sellers for listing of brands including Adidas, Pepe Jeans, Jockey, Manyavar, XYXX and Mad Over Print.<\/p>\n

On March 4, ET reported<\/a> that both Blinkit and Zepto are fast entering ecommerce territory and are set to add several categories like fashion, beauty, electronics, toys, home and kitchen among other segments.<\/p>\n

Deepinder Goyal, chief executive of Zomato<\/a>, had earlier said that Blinkit will become larger than Zomato\u2019s food-delivery business<\/a> in a year. Blinkit has clocked a GMV of more than $1 billion for the first nine months of FY24.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
