Today, social media is a platform for <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/freedom-of-the-press\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">freedom of the press<\/a>, but it is uncontrolled and there is <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/vulgar-content\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">vulgar content<\/a>,&#8221; he said during the Question Hour.The minister&#8217;s comments came in response to questions raised by BJP MP Arun Govil, who had asked about the government&#8217;s stance on current measures to prevent the broadcast of vulgar and sexually explicit material on social media.
