NEW DELHI: Nineteen-year-old Australian cricketer Sam Konstas impressed with a century during a pink-ball warm-up match. Playing for the Prime Minister’s XI against India, he showcased his potential against a strong bowling attack.
Konstas’s innings of 107 runs off 97 balls included 14 fours and a six. His aggressive yet composed batting style addressed Australia’s top-order concerns.

“I\u2019ve been practicing it a little bit with Tim Paine, but yeah, good to get a few away. Tim just told us to have good intent and put pressure on them and treat it like a 46-over game. So I was just trying to keep things simple and just trying to stick to my plans,” he said.
Konstas implemented this advice effectively, contributing to a strong performance against a quality opponent. This approach allowed him to showcase his abilities under pressure.
