He claimed that he and his wife found the man during their morning scooter ride near Connaught Place\u2019s Outer Circle. According to Amir, they had discovered the victim staggering near Panchkuian Road and used his wife\u2019s dupatta to bandage his head wounds. \u201cHe wove an elaborate story,\u201d said a senior police officer.<\/p>\n<p> The victim, initially admitted as \u2018Altamas\u2019, later succumbed to his injuries. As the case was transferred to Connaught Place police station, vigilant officers began to notice inconsistencies in Amir\u2019s account.<\/p>\n<p> The first breakthrough came when officers reviewed CCTV footage around the alleged discovery site in Connaught Place, but no such incident was recorded. However, footage near RML Hospital showed a car with three individuals, two of whom were later identified by the deceased\u2019s family as Mohammed Sohel (21) and Mohammed Altamas (23), both local property dealers from Jafrabad, said SHO (Connaught Place) Sanjeev Kumar.<\/p>\n<p>Further investigation into the CCTV footage revealed Amir\u2019s fabricated story. After admitting the victim to the hospital, Amir had planned to flee the city.
