However, its operations and production capabilities require modernization to meet current demands.<\/p>\n<p>To address this, the Cabinet has sanctioned a 40% equity investment worth \u20b91,272 crore in a joint venture (JV) to establish the <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/namrup-iv-unit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Namrup-IV unit<\/a>. This move aims to rejuvenate BVFCL and sustain its contribution to agricultural productivity.<\/p>\n<p>In other decisions, the Cabinet approved the conversion of loans and grants provided by the Government of <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/assam\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Assam<\/a> to Assam Power Distribution Company Ltd (APDCL), Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Ltd (AEGCL), and Assam Power Generation Corporation Ltd (APGCL) into equity.
