Steve Smith was the chief architect of Australia&#8217;s first-innings dominance as he brought up his 34th Test hundred and 11th against India, scoring 140 runs off 197 balls.<\/p>\n<p>Australia, after winning the toss got off to a good start as the 19-year-old debutant Sam Konstas came to the pitch unabashed, taking the attack to the likes of Jasprit Bumrha, who has by far been the best bowler of the series. Konstas scored a brisk fifty on debut, ending up with a 65-ball 60 runs knock. Usman Khawaja also brought up a fifty, his first in the series. Marnus Labuschagne looked in good touch as well but threw away hsi wicket after a well-made 72 runs.
