The film, directed by Kalees, was released on December 25. As per <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sacnilk.com\/quicknews\/Baby_John_2024_Box_Office_Collection_Day_5\" rel=\"nofollow noindex noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sacnilk<\/a>, the film earned an estimated Rs. 4.75 crore on day 5.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Varun Dhawan&#8217;s big opener also saw \u201can overall 17.38% Hindi occupancy\u201d on December 29, the report added. So far, the film has earned only Rs. 28.65 crore in the domestic market.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Bankrolled by A for Apple Productions, Cine1 Studios, and Jio Studios, <em>Baby John <\/em>is a remake of Atlee&#8217;s 2016 Tamil film <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ndtv.com\/entertainment\/baby-john-review-rehash-of-theri-no-mass-appeal-2-stars-7329132\"><em>Theri<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Earlier, film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh commented upon Baby John&#8217;s \u201cunderwhelming\u201d opening day performance despite the movie being released on Christmas.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">He said, \u201cBaby John\u00a0is underwhelming on Day 1, benefiting primary from the Christmas\u00a0holiday on Wednesday&#8230; The *pre-release* trends had projected an opening day in the \u20b9 17 cr &#8211; \u20b9 20 cr range, thanks to the festive boost, but as always, box office\u00a0remains highly unpredictable.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Baby John\u00a0faced stiff competition from Pushpa 2 [in mass circuits] and Mufasa\u00a0[in urban centres], which impacted its opening day biz&#8230; It&#8217;s worth noting that Pushpa 2\u00a0continues to be a mighty opponent for *all* films. Me and Allu Arjun sir are very good friends. We&#8217;re releasing Baby John in the fourth week of December, not head-to-head. So don&#8217;t call it a clash. There&#8217;s no conflict here. We&#8217;re aware that Pushpa 2 shifted from August to December, and we&#8217;ve planned our release around Christmas.
