As a momentous year in news draws to a close, Sky News correspondents have picked out their most memorable moments.<\/p>\n

Middle East correspondent Ali Bunkall said he “will never forget” the times he entered Gaza<\/strong><\/a> – on both occasions escorted by the Israeli military, as Israel usually bans foreign media from entering and reporting from Gaza.<\/p>\n

Covering something entirely different, arts and entertainment correspondent Katie Spencer met hardcore ‘Swiftie’ superfans in June who had camped out overnight to be the first to the front of Taylor Swift’s Edinburgh concert on her Eras tour<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

In April, as ‘Hardest Geezer’ Russ Cook finished his gruelling challenge to run the length of Africa<\/strong><\/a>, sports correspondent Rob Harris managed to both run alongside him and commentate in hot and dusty Tunisia.<\/p>\n

Political editor Beth Rigby said her most memorable moment was interviewing both Rishi Sunak<\/strong><\/a> and Keir Starmer<\/strong><\/a> before the UK general election, and for political correspondent Darren McCaffrey it was being kicked out of a Tory campaign event<\/strong><\/a> live on air.<\/p>\n

In Mexico, chief correspondent Stuart Ramsay travelled on the roof of a freight train with migrants making a perilous journey to the United States.<\/p>\n

North of England correspondent Shingi Mararike said reporting on the Southport stabbings<\/strong><\/a> and subsequent rioting is “etched into my mind”, as is the enormous community response.<\/p>\n

“We saw the worst of what could happen, but also the best of people at the same time, which is so much of what news is about,” he said.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
