We also had to ascertain whether there was a terror angle to it,\u201d Tewari said during a press conference at the police headquarters.<\/p>\n<h2>Forensic analysis of devices underway<\/h2>\n<p>The police reported that the suspect was identified after their teams tracked emails sent on January 8. Due to the minor\u2019s age, his laptop and mobile phone were seized for forensic examination. \u201cOur teams tracked the minor after recent e-mails on January 8. As the e-mail sender was a juvenile, the team took his laptop and mobile phone for a forensic examination,\u201d Tewari added.<\/p>\n<h2>Investigation into NGO and political links<br \/><\/h2>\n<p>Police uncovered a connection between the student\u2019s family and the NGO. The organization, where the suspect\u2019s father is reportedly involved, is part of a civil society group known for voicing support for Afzal Guru. The NGO is also linked to a political party, though the police did not disclose the name of the party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur teams tracked 400 threat e-mails sent by the minor. They also checked the background of his father, who has been working with an NGO, and found out that the organization is part of a civil society group that has been raising issues regarding the hanging of Afzal Guru and is also helping a political party,\u201d Tewari explained.<\/p>\n<p><!--\/include_growfast.cms?pagename=article&skipcss=1potime:2--><\/p>\n<h2>Further investigation underway<\/h2>\n<p>The police emphasized that the investigation is ongoing, particularly to determine the extent of the minor\u2019s involvement and any potential connections to larger networks.
