The region&#8217;s air quality index (AQI) had reached 396 on Wednesday evening, classified as &#8220;very poor.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>Stage 4 measures, applied when air quality reaches &#8220;severe plus&#8221; levels, include a ban on all construction and demolition activities, restrictions on the entry of non-essential diesel trucks into <a ref=\"dofollow\" data-ga-onclick=\"Inarticle articleshow link click#News#href\" href=\"https:\/\/economictimes.indiatimes.com\/topic\/delhi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Delhi<\/a>, and mandatory hybrid learning modes for school classes, except for grades 10 and 12. Additionally, non-essential diesel trucks and Delhi-registered BS-IV or older diesel heavy goods vehicles were prohibited, with exceptions for essential services. <\/p>\n<p>The GRAP system is implemented in Delhi-NCR during winter months, categorizing air quality into four stages: Stage 1 (Poor, AQI 201-300), Stage 2 (Very Poor, AQI 301-400), Stage 3 (Severe, AQI 401-450), and Stage 4 (Severe Plus, AQI above 450).
