Sprinto<\/a>, a risk and compliance automation platform for businesses, has raised $20 million in an equity funding round led by Accel<\/a>, with participation from existing investors Elevation Capital<\/a> and Blume Ventures<\/a>. The funds will be used for research and development (R&D), improving customer experience and expanding into new markets. <\/p>\n

“As companies become more complex, the necessary automation to make the product work needs to be adapted to their environment… So, to intelligently adapt the product to the environment is a tough job, but it’s equally valuable,” said cofounder and chief executive Girish Redekar<\/a>, while emphasising on doubling down on R&D and enhancing product capabilities. <\/p>\n

Founded in 2020 by Redekar and Raghuveer Kancherla, the company offers a comprehensive toolkit designed to navigate cyber risk and regulatory requirements, allowing businesses to operate within regulatory frameworks. <\/p>\n

The software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform serves clients in more than 75 countries, spanning various sectors such as technology, financial services, fintech and healthcare. \u201cOur goal is to become leaders in each of those places and in those geographies. <\/p>\n

So, we are breaking new ground both geographically in regions, as well as new markets in existing regions that we want to operate in,\u201d he said. The firm aims to triple its revenue again this year. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe have seen rapid growth over the last year; we have already grown by about 3x in the year 2023. We want to continue the momentum,\u201d Redekar added. <\/p>\n

Commenting on the investment, Shekhar Kirani, partner at Accel, said, \u201cWith the proliferation of data across digital platforms, the secular shift to the cloud, and the growing adoption of SaaS tools, information security is gaining central importance in the enterprise. Every company\u2014 whether tech-enabled or traditional, large or mid-sized\u2014is increasingly required to comply with standard frameworks and protocols\u201d. In 2022, Sprinto had raised $10 million in a funding round led by Elevation Capital <\/a>that also saw participation from Accel and Blume Ventures. The company has raised $31.8 million in total. <\/p>\n

“We are thrilled to deepen our partnership with Sprinto as they continue to disrupt cloud security and compliance,” said Ravi Adusumalli, co-managing partner, Elevation Capital. <\/p>\n

On April 2, governance, risk and compliance platform Scrut Automation raised $10 million in growth capital<\/a> from existing investors Lightspeed Venture Partners, MassMutual Ventures and Endiya Partners.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
