Actress Lili Reinhart, on Friday, revealed<\/a> that she has been diagnosed with interstitial cystitis (IC). It is a chronic\u00a0disorder\u00a0that happens due to\u00a0an inflamed or irritated bladder wall.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lili Reinhart has shared pictures on Instagram documenting the hardest part of 2024. The actress shared a photo of herself with the text \u2014\u00a0\u00a0“5 am in a German hospital for a possible bladder\/UTI infection\u201d \u2013 written on it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Her note attached to the album read, \u201cI feel it’s important to show an honest<\/a> glimpse at what last year was like for me, when dealing with my health issues. I’m so thankful for\u00a0@selfmagazine\u00a0and\u00a0@julia_c_sullivan\u00a0for giving me the space to share what I’ve been going through. Being diagnosed with interstitial cystitis while simultaneously searching for answers about a mysterious autoimmunity\/inflammatory disease made 2024 the hardest year of my life.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lili Reinhart added what made her talk about her health<\/a> condition. She said, \u201cI was inspired to talk about this after my grandmother was ignored by doctors for months when exhibiting clear symptoms of cancer- and it was only after her own strength and advocation for herself that she was given a blood test that diagnosed her. And by then, the cancer had spread.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

On what she has learnt, Lili Reinhart said, \u201cThe most important thing I have taken away from this experience is the absolute need to advocate for your own health. Do not let a doctor gaslight you or diminish your pain. I hope the men & women out there struggling to find answers feel even the slightest bit seen by my experience.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lili Reinhart is known for her work in the hit Netflix show\u00a0Riverdale.\u00a0She played the role of Betty Cooper. Earlier, Lili had informed her fans about her\u00a0alopecia diagnosis. She shared a video on TikTok with the text, \u201cWas just diagnosed with alopecia in the midst of a major depressive episode.” She can be seen lip-syncing the audio of a man who says, “I’m pushed beyond the limits of what a person should be pushed to endure.”<\/p>\n
