IND vs ENG 2nd T20I highlights: Tilak Varma’s gritty half-century (72 runs off 55 balls), combined with a stellar bowling performance from the Indian bowlers, guided hosts to a thrilling 2-wicket win over England in the second T20I at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. With this victory, India now holds a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20I series, securing back-to-back wins.

India’s 167-run chase got off to a rocky start as the openers fell early to the fiery pace of Mark Wood and Jofra Archer. Suryakumar Yadav looked promising with a brisk start but failed to capitalize, leaving India to rebuild under pressure.

Despite wickets falling regularly, Tilak Varma held his nerve, riding his luck to keep the chase alive. Arshdeep Singh’s lapse in judgment saw him fall to Adil Rashid, but Tilak remained composed with India 8 wickets down.

Ravi Bishnoi provided steady support in the tense final moments, helping India edge past England in a thrilling finish. Archer’s costly spell, conceding 60 runs in four overs, ultimately hurt England’s chances.

England set India a target of 166 runs

Asked to bat first by captain Suryakumar, England set India a target of 166 runs. England’s top order struggled yet again, similar to the series opener in Kolkata. Despite their rocky start, the visitors managed to score 165 for 9 in 20 overs, thanks to valuable contributions from Jos Buttler and Brydon Carse.

Captain Jos Buttler played a crucial knock, scoring 45 runs off 30 balls with 3 sixes and 2 fours. Brydon Carse added valuable lower-order runs, smashing 31 off 17 balls with 3 sixes and 1 four.

For India, Axar Patel and Varun Chakravarthy delivered with the ball. Axar took 2 wickets for 32 runs in 4 overs, while Varun claimed 2 for 38 in his spell. Arshdeep Singh, Hardik Pandya, Washington Sundar, and Abhishek Sharma contributed with a wicket each.
