With this philosophy, the government&#8217;s vision for Viksit Bharat (Developed India) includes: Eradicating poverty; Ensuring 100% quality education for children; Providing affordable and comprehensive healthcare; Developing a skilled workforce with meaningful employment; Increasing women&#8217;s participation in the economy to 70 per cent; Strengthening India&#8217;s agricultural sector to make it the &#8220;food basket of the world.&#8221;In this budget, the proposed measures span across ten broad areas, Sitharaman said, adding that focus will be on &#8216;Garib (poor), Youth, Anna Daata (farmers) and Nari (women). <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This budget aims to initiate transformative reforms across 6 domains during the first five years, this will augment our growth potential and global competitiveness. The domains are: Taxation, power sector, urban development, mining, financial sector and regulatory reforms,&#8221; Sitharaman said.<\/p>\n<p>The Finance Minister expressed confidence in India&#8217;s strong economic foundation while acknowledging ongoing geopolitical challenges that could slow global economic growth.
